It seems Matt Darey has gone rocktronica/dancepop, ala Oakie. NOOOOOOOOOO!
Ian
I fail to see how this is bad news. Matt has done a lot of good things, but the majority of them came before he began re-releasing his older tuns, with the odd remix of point zero being exceptions, and those weren't his which makes it kinda redundant

It's not like Matt Darey has been carrying the trance genre on his shoulders, so who gives a ?

People move on.

Trance has turned into a pretty boring scene to be honest.

I think in an interview he's said something along the lines of:

"I'll play whatever the I want."

Paraphrased of course.

Even though Matt Darey has made some kickass-tracks, I too fail to see how it is necessary bad for trance. He isn't that big name after all and he has done pretty commercial stuff already before.

bad news? are you kidding me? this is great news. if just all other gimps (you know who) could quit trance and start producing pop or whatever they want the world would be a happier place.

him & lange were pretty much the UK equivalent of ferry & tiesto back in 99, but his post-2002 output has been woeful. no loss
