Overall it was a great night! I thought Koroma opened nicely. Nice selection of tunes to jumpstart the crowd. Really liked Are you fine and Kiksu. Although he prob shouldn't have played so many Above & Beyond songs. Let Above & Beyond play them in my opinion. The crowd size was great. Not too crowded (at least we have shoulder room) but the place still felt like it packed. Saw one guy got kicked out didn't know what he did... lol

Awesome night! Job well done 1015! :happy2:

saw the guy got kicked out too... so funny cause the guy behind the dude was rappin rhymes bout how he gonna kick the bouncer's ass (i dont see the possibilites) but just loved the rap attempt... dude completely zoned out... :D

koroma opened nicely i think, i am always a fan of the hard banging trance, so i thought it was nice that he was bangin in before A&B play, thought they gonna continue the energy, but nooo....

oh well, still... a nice opening, stopped my body a lil bit and started moving again to Jono's sound. then second song kicked in, it was as always very signature intro of A&B (driving prog sound bassline)... very nice touch... but but but...the breakdowns... errrr... kinda too long, but like some say "it's their style", so i let that one go... still a lil hard for me to get rockin... until the next song intro comes in... woohaa! bangin again

didnt stay thru the whole night cause the DDD (designated drunk driver) had to go home, but overall, it was a very impressive night for above & beyond fans (seeing my girl going crazy thru the night, and seeing dj ismael rodriguez jump and and down were priceless)

kyro is back.. lives up to its standard... glow stick dude that looks like 'ferry corsten' did some nice moves that i have never seen before, he even gave Ish a voluntary lightshow...

great night... so all you above and beyond fans! u get what u wished... it's time u help out a fellow TA to get what he wish... taj told me we need more voice to make this happen

Saturday was an epic night at 1015! :eyespop: Above & Beyond killed it!! I got to 1015 around 11:30pm and went straight to the main room. Koroma was playing pretty hard when I got in the main room and 1015 sure was packed with people. I’m not the type to go full throttle hours before the headlining dj comes on, so Rich and I decided to go to the upstairs house room. Whoever was spinning upstairs at that time needs to get booked up there more! He was playing a unique track selection which I loved… and he was playing samples off his laptop while spinning on the cdjs. It was fun watching him spin.

A&B went above & beyond my expectations. :D It was awesome to get almost a four hour set out of them!! I have seen them twice in the past, and they played for only two hours on both occasions. Thank you for the kyro!! It adds such an explosive effect to the buildups & breakdowns. I love Tony’s mannerisms, he’s a funny character. Tony was informed that he could smoke behind the decks, but he still crouched down into a little ball below the cdjs to smoke. I thought that was hilarious. :wtf:

TAJ pumped out huge tracks which had me dancing until dawn. You really know how to keep the energy alive! :p Awesome night – thanks for everything.

saturday was another expectedly fun night of music at 1015. koroma did a great job of filling up the main room and getting the crowd goin, but i personally don't like it when openers play the headliner's productions, i think it kind of steals their wind, so when air for life came on, i took the opportunity to explore the house room more. upstairs pollux was rippin it up with some prog house that included some new (to me) remixes of last night a dj saved my life and remember magnetic north. pollux i've heard before, but never watched him on the mixer and he definitely has some skill using a mixer, cdjs and serato(?) the way a performer should! definitely gonna keep an eye out for this guy in the future. we headed back down after some time to catch the last 10-15 min of koroma's set and was more pleased with how he transitioned out smoothly for a&b. the crowd was much thicker at this point, but the room temp was still comfortable and remained so throughout the night. a&b, well i can honestly say the appeal of tatw has faded for me over the years, but every time i check these guys out at a venue in sf, i can't really find anything bad to say about them. they are such friendly, personable guys, esp tony, their mixing is absolutely top notch, but most of all they draw great anjuna-loyal party crowds and know how to read them well. i was exhausted from the night before and had a TONNNN of work to bust out before monday so i was a bit reserved for the night. i planned to take off at 4, but the music was so addictive around that time that i stayed until after 5, getting a healthy taste of taj's record stack for the night. i wish i could have stayed longer, but i was satisfied musically and more focused on how to deal with my hunger and exhaustion. it was good to see the tas out there in full force for that night! jay, good to have you back :toocool:

+1 Im so glad they played that tune...i had blast!!! even one of my girl friends whos mainly a hip-hopper tore it up on the dance floor during a&bs set!!! thanks guys because it may have killed me to have to spend considerable time "getttin' low" during that kick ass set.

Oh wow it did get split up. I thought we were doing reviews on the original post.

No one here mentioned (unless I missed it) that they played Art of Trance - Madagascar (Ferry Corsten mix)!! I had a 2000 flashback when that track dropped. An absoulte classic!

You know I thought they did, but no, it sounded very similar.

It has to be Oliver Smith - Nimbus. Someone here mentioned it. The song is pretty similar to White. I'd consider it a follow up from another artist track.

Sounded like an EPIC NIGHT! :eyespop: You know I wish I was there with everyone but other stuff came up last minute.

That semi-tracklist all sounded like CHOONS! Bring them back for LoveFest!

Oh ya, good choice of changing back your avatar Gilbert. :stongue:
