If anybody has been following the drama on these boards over the past couple of days (which, as Little G noted, was shaping up to resemble the fight scene from the movie Anchorman), you will all know that I have been on a mission to find Sean Miller's mojo.
By the grace of God, and some may argue, in the interests of world peace, I have excellent news to report: I FINALLY FOUND SEAN MILLER'S MOJO. Despite earlier reports, Steve Lawler did not export it to a land far far away. Joe Manzone most certainly did not steal it, nor did Nathan rip it away. Jon Jon, despite best efforts, did not extract it and deliver it to Dr. Evil.
Sean's mojo was located last night at 577 King Street West, fully intact, and more magnetic than ever.
Last night was one of those rare nights where everything just seemed to work out. For me, and at least and the dozen or so friends I was with last night, it was the perfect venue, the perfect crowd, and the perfect tunes for a warm summer night. I have seen Sean play at least 5-6 times over the past year or so, and last night was no different that all the others: tremendous flow, excellent programming, and a unique groove that makes everyone in the room want to dance, especially the ladies (which, I might add, there were plenty of last night).
To me Sean is one of those rare DJs, like Nathan, that NEVER disappoints. He is that good. Period.
Jonny White's opening set was spot on as well. One of the highlights for me was when he dropped a tune that I have been wanting to hear live for a couple of months now - the second track (min 4:15 - 9:15) from Tedd Patterson's Buzzin Fly Radio Mix (March 2007). (Sorry, no ID.) SICK SICK track that got the room jumpin'. The last tune of Jonny's set was Trentemoller's ‘Moan (Radio Slave’s Mix For K)’ (Poker Flat), which I always love.
Moan. The perfect tune to lead us to the mojo. ;) |

Both Sean and Jonny were on their game this Saturday - place took a while to get full, but by midnight the place was rammed.
Sean took the opportunity of playing a more intimate, sexy venue - to bring us back to the sound he used to deliver back in his early days at Boa-Redux. He mixed it up however, playing both classic cuts along with some very upfront, fresh material.
Great party, and vibe all night. (but it got hot in there lol) |

| Or perhaps TOTAs aren't the centre of the party universe. Just because people here didn't attend an event, doesn't mean it didn't happen, lol. |

| It was fun to check out. Totally rammed by the time I got there and the low ceilings just made that high humidity factor even worse. Was quite amused by the novel booth setup on top of the grand piano though! |
