When recording with Traktor, 1 minute uses 10MB of HD space.
Is there a way to change this..I ve checked out the recording options, but did not help. You cant change the quality or file type.
What should I do?
Thanks |

I don't have Traktor so i'm not 100% sure about this, but i guess it's recording the file as a .wav. I don't think there's an option to record directly to mp3.
My question to you is: how is your pc able to run Traktor if it can't even store only 600mb/hour recording? |

I can only suggest using a different programme to record. I use 'Absolute Sound Recorder' while using Traktor myself but there are also many other programmes that will do the job using less space too (192 or 320 kbps mp3 for instance will be much lower than a wav file).
Im just an amateur though, maybe someone with more experience can give other advice. |

I don't recall Traktor having anything besides wav/aiff output.
I used to either record the mix (native mix) or the audio and just compress it (export if native mix) into mp3.
If recording audio has too much overhead, you can always record native mix, which only saves the automation.
If you have another computer, you can always either hook up the output to it and record, or run a local IceCast server and save the stream. |

Yeah it is recording the file as wav., no option for mp3.
My computer is able to store that amount, I was just wondering if there is the possibility to choose different settings.
Well, I think I ll use another program to record, or transfer the wav. to mp.3 later on.
Thanks for all your replies.:p |
