1200 vs 1210

1210 is the European version with a voltage switch 110v / 220v. That is the only difference. (Oh and I believe 1210 has a European power plug).
Attn: There is NO DIFFERENCE in color, since both 1200 and 1210 are available in both black and silver. |

If you get your decks from the States and they are 1200s then yes, you have to buy a step-up transformer (it doesn't involve opening up your turntable, you simply plug it in between the deck and your power outlet).
If you get the 1210s then you're good. |

| Yes, if you get the 1210 there shouldn't be any problems. Just make sure to flip the switch underneath the platter to 220v before you plug in your turntables. |

| The difference between the 1200 and 1210 depends on the place you live. In the US it might be the voltage switch that differs, but in Europe (well at least in Belgium :D) it's only, and I say ONLY, the color that differs (both have voltage selectors, 1200 is silver, 1210 is black). |

| i also belive the 1210s may have more torque then the 1200s....but the pitch wasnt that good as the 1200s thats what i got from playing with both....... |

well from me playing on them i thought they had little more torque but the pitch wasnt as smooth just what i got from playing on them |

the 1210s look sick as black ones too... i love that...
but technically speaking if there isnt much differance
why did technics release the 1210's? |
