Running a 2nd PC as a soft synth.

Just wondering what is the best way of doing this?
I have cubase running on both machines and have them linked via midi cables. I use the 'host' PC to start the timeline running on the other, but there is a slight lag when the 'slave' PC starts recording or playing.

Is there a way of compensating for this latency or is there another way i can do this? Ideally i would like to control the soft synths from the host machine.

Just what i was looking for, thank you DeZmA. I'm sure i have found this before but didn't realize it was able to let you open VST's from the other PC and run them directly so they work like a host VST. Guess i didn't dig hard enough into the gumf at the time....silly me. Girlfriend on hold for tonight i guess :whip:
