In theory it is an "all ages" event but the crowd at most gatherings tends to be 25-30ish. I am usually one of the younger ones and I am 23. |

wow, what a party. i had a blast...
worth every penny... even tho to me, the sound was not all that... just hella loud. posford really put on a serious show. praise the good lord no one ruined the night w/uplifting or vocal trash. serious all night long. atleast since 1-1.30a when i got there. :-)
who knows when he'll be back in LA... those that didn't make it, or had reservations because the price of admission really screwed themselves out of something special.
word up to the homie in the boca shirt. that was dope. |

Agreed. The sound was not good at all. In fact, it was terrible. My ears were still ringing at noon today lol. What could have been an amazing night was somewhat mediocre because of it.
Posford played some great music, but sonically, he and his fans deserve much better.
Glad I went though. Good crowd, good vibe. Looking forward to seeing Halucinogen/Shpongle again. |

i'm glad i took my er-20's. no ringing at all. but yeah, for the most part, i was not feeling the sound quality at all. i didn't want to say it sucked out right, because i'm still trying to get a feel on how to insert the plugs correctly. if you don't get them in just right, they don't sound good at all. you loose a lot of the mids, almost all the highs, and the bass sounds very rumbly...
but then again, my neighbor commented that was the character of the sound system. all bass, crappy mids and hi's.
is it me, or is that every time i see people say they use turbo sound, the quality just sucks. is it the people setting the stuff up that don't know what they are doing or what? we don't use turbo sound for our desert parties, but our system sounds a million times better. |

Its gotta be the people setting things up. I find that at a lot of the smaller parties the sound tends to suck because they don't have money for a good engineer. A good engineer makes such a difference because great speakers only sound great when set up correctly. Turbosound makes a very nice product and when set up correctly sounds fantastic.
I'm sad that I missed this event as I was sitting around the house watching a movie last night and would have loved to go. |
