lol we didn't password ours for a few months out of laziness, then finally got to it
the router we have at my apartment (linksys wrt54g) was involved in some huge deal where the people who coded the firmware stole a buncha from some linux firmware, and so someone sued linksys and the firmware for my router became open source

long story short, its mad easy to hack the router, so i got linux on it now. we just use a mac address filter instead of a password, and if you try to access it and you're not on the mac address list, you get redirected to a page telling you to pay me

mac address filtering isnt security. its easy as to spoof a mac address. easier than sniffing and cracking the passkey. infact the router can clone the mac address so that if you have a modem that is bound to a nic you can then remove that nic from a computer and just clone the mac address of it. :) not hard at all. get a passkey and set it up properly.

superglo: dd-wrt IS linux! oh and so is the original firmware! :)

leph: os x on your windows machine and then run kissmac! crack the passkey in seconds! :)

hack him HARDER. like, put a wrg3x5-t encryption up his ass, then telnet his 8080 port in order to blast his rundll32 services, therefore opening up the read access on the wireless channel. easy.
