Yeah, same here except she didn't give me one, instead pointing to a sign that said "VIP wristbands come with all prepaid tickets." Well, I have a prepaid ticket for PVD on 7/20, but I don't think that rule will apply then!
Anyway, the DJ before Rank 1 was playing some pop kinda stuff that I didn't like that much, but Piet killed it when he came on! I remember hearing a lot of tracks from Dutch artists including Ferry Corsten, and thought he represented his country quite well! CL played a number of really good songs, but I just didn't get such a great vibe from the crowd up front and stayed to the back for a change (most of the TA's were dancing behind the decks with Piet!)
Austin was doing a great job in the smaller room too when I went back there. Saw Piet leaving the patio as I was coming in and coming back in as I was leaving, nice to see the DJ's interact with the crowd. Oh yeah, and Vanguard has the greatest bartenders, so def. looking forward to PVD there in less than a month now!

| Yeah last night was sick. IT did get hot when CL was there, so much that I had to take a break outside and chill in the cabanas. But his set was sooooooooo pumpin' I started dancing outside and ended up for a crowd of people. Fun night. Can't wait for Armin. I liked your set Randy, keep it up. |

Musta been the 2nd DJ actually, since I went to the back room a few songs before Rank 1 came on since I wasn't crazy about the music at that point. |

a very fun night indeed!! so great seeing all the TA's there. piet got there around 11 or so and hung on the patio with everyone being his ever so "charming" self :D then it was off to dance to his set! of course it was great, he didn't hold back as much as i thought he would which was nice. i was way too faded and acted like a complete idiot but what's new???? sorry piet for giving you so much but i had to make up for the fact that i'm gonna miss your TJ set.
great track selection as always and the crowd really responded to it!!! everyone was talking about how great it was. nice to have most of the TA's partying up top with piet. it is really great that he enjoys his fan base here and interacts with everyone. very nice to see.
vanguard was uber hot!! and packed. didn't stay for CL's set b/c i wanted to catch sander at avalon so we bolted right afterwards but i'm sure it was great.

| wassup with people leavin early and not stayin for CL??? :eek: :eek: :eek: wish i was there for 1:30 to 4:00 CL set!... seems like rank 1 set was the shiznitzzle... how was CL LA set? anyone that stayed longer for that??? |

i know, sorry rey but i couldn't miss sander. we get CL alot here and sander's miami set got me totally hooked on him so i had the tough decision to make and left early. |

| well mecca i would say he played a pretty solid set bc i saw him on thursday and he was good on thurs but had a couple of trainwrecks. Saturday was a nice sold banging set but i left around 3:30 due to being tired and having stuff to do..how come you didnt go? |

Sat night was definitely fun. It was great to party with all the TAs and Piet & Tim! Sorry if I seemed a bit absent minded, my mind was preoccupied with several things at the club. A couple of beers took care of that though :p
Blake Jarrell's set impressed me. Some of the stuff he played reminded me of my fav SvD :D And he played Wamdue Project - King of My Castle (SvD remix) which I luuuuuv! This young dj has a lot of potential IMO. Now I understand why Armada signed him :) Piet's set was awesome as always. I'm glad he didn't hold back at all! But of course he had to play Walk Down at the end just to irritate me :rolleyes: :stongue: I can't stand that song!
Sorry Mecca but I can't tell you either how CL's set was because we left after a few songs. What I could hear though, it sounded too boring for me, like the song never changed or something.
