cant record to pc

| i have my mixer hooked into my computer and i can hear the sound. but when i go into sound forge and go to record i get nothing. the levels don't move nothing. i have an audigy soundblaster 4 soundcard. i don't know i just don't understand? |

| u should have a wire going from ur mixer to the line-in on ur soundcard... then in the volume controls panel, select line-in for the recording source. that should hopefully b problem solved! |

| i got the volume on line in at max, im hearing the sound come out of the speakers at my computer. then i go into sound forge and go to record and nothing. its plugged into line in on my soundcard. i don't know |

| you gotta go in volume control then select recording, and select the line in as the source. all your currently doing is monitoring the line in. you'll probably find ul have to drop the fader quite low to stop it from peaking. |

| got it. i reinstalled the soundcard and now i got it...damn that took a long ass time. |
