Comcast High Speed Internet Deal

If you are already a Comcast customer (or even if you're not), they are running a special for high-speed internet for $19.95/mo. until 12/31/07. I called this morning (404-comcast), and it took 3 minutes to complete the whole deal. Nice to save $23/mo for the remainder of the year for a service I'm going to get regardless.
I did check to see if this is a repost, and all I could find is the $19.99 special for new customers only.
For those of you in the rest of the country, if you are are Comcast subscriber, you could still call and see if there is a similar special, but I do know that it works in Atlanta. |
I just got off the phone with my CSR. She said she couldn't give me the deal because I'm an existing customer with only high speed internet. The deal was only for people who have comcast cable but not internet. So she says. Instead, she gave me $33/month for the next 12 months. I might consider pushing for the $20/month for the first six months still. :haha: |

| I had the 8 meg line just transfered into my name last saturday, I'm hoping that qualifies me as a new customer. Major savings, here I come. |

| They wouldn't work withthe fact that I had 8 meg, they kept telling me that if I wanted to go down to 5 meg they could do the deal. I said f no. I tried 3 different people no go with each. |

I mentioned that I knew of the promotion, and that I was not informed of this when I signed up and I would like to have it applied to my service.
I never yelled, I wasn't rude, after they said no, I brought up the fact that the 5 meg is normally 53 dollars/month and their special had it for 24 dollars (30 off.) They said no again, but offered to extend my 8 meg for the price of 5 meg for another 5 months. I counter offered with taking 20 off which is still making them money over me switching to the sale price for 5 meg.
I'm talking with my friend who used to work for Comcast to help me out to figure out how to make this work. I'm going to call back with the threat of canceling and going back t o DSL if this is how they're going to treat me, because I've heard of people with 8 meg getting it for 29/month with this special. |
