Sat. night, June 23rd DJ Eddie G & friends @ Blue, Miami Beach

Been asked by my main bro Eddie G to post this one. :)
This Saturday night, June 23rd, DJ Eddie G and friends take over Blue in Miami Beach once again for a full night of trance and progressive. Lineup includes:
DJ Eddie G
Twinkeastwood
Eyekon
...and some guy named DarkAngel.
No cover, should be another great time.

Uh yeah. So like, we got to Blue just a little before 10 and Twink was already playing, but a few minutes later I got to open. TL is as follows:
Martin Roth's Hands on Keane - This is the Last Time (Martin Roth vocal remix)
Envio - Touched by the Sun
Kyau vs. Albert - Falling anywhere (rework)
Rank 1 - Blue Lagoon
Mixing? Not that good as usual. Tracks? Hell. Not many people in there at this time but whatever.
Twink got back on and mixed in some prog/prog trance and that other genre. Well mixed.
Some other DJ whom I don't know his name (sorry. oops) came on and played some very good stuff.
Eddie got on and ravaged the place with another one of his trademark Blue sets. Couldn't ID anything, he had all new records with only less than a handful of great old favorites including our favorites, Above and Beyond - Far From In Love.
Twink came on again for a while...
After him came me again...this time (and yeah, this is me reviewing myself.), I would go on to play 8 songs, all of which had people going nuts. Not trying to toot my own horn or whatever, but hell. People loved what I played. On more than one occasion I had people come up to me. I'd seen that happen many a time with FLTA's best, Groove Eric, but I never thought that'd happen to me (let alone be worthy of it.) I was a lil embarassed :o Tracklist is as follows:

Mixing? Fouled up a few times as always. Noticable, but not according to some people. Mixing was a little better than usual in this 2nd set though. Did I have fun? You bet your sweet ass I did, and that's why I do this.
All in all a very good night.
Eyekon = IBS? :wtf:
Big, BIG thank you to Eddie for giving me this opportunity to trainwreck....er, I mean, spin. :p

Me too, man. I'm no opening DJ by any means so that was one of few tracks I actually call a "little bit slow" and would be appropriate for an opening set. Twink was like "If I give you some house CDs will you play 'em?" I was like "You might as well take me out now, because I don't play house!"
At least I didn't give my usual answer. :p
Blue has changed a bit. They have a sick new light show in addition to the fog machine as well as a horn. Gotta love the VIP section. Can get annihilated up there with little difficulty. :toothless

I took this pic at my job, then gave it to Eddie and he used it as the flyer. :) Came out really cool.
If you wanna hear me play be prepared for a few trainwrecks. Guaranteed.
