Just because it will eventually die (tho quite hopefully only after I have :D) doesn't mean I love it any less. I'm just being realistic, seeing as trance is such a new genre, its difficult not to think that it will someday get to the stage where so many other genre's, that have been around a hella lot longer, are. Take rock, everything sounds too similar these days right? Well, its been around a couple of decades, and obvioulsy it doesnt sound exactly like it did back when it started, it 'evolved'. Think about when our children will look at PvD's work the same way we do at Elvis, scary isnt it? :p
So I hope trance lives forever, but I'm not gonna delude myself into thinking it defintely will, coz it might, but more probably wont.

| Well in Australia, it's gaining more life. Sydney's first trance night started in August and is going strong, so they opened another one in Melbourne. If you ask me trance is getting stronger. Well definately in Australia! |

Well, to be honest, it's not at it's prime currently. But it won't die, usually music genres don't die, they either evolve or people still listen to the old stuff.
It is spreading through US/Canada/Australia, because it is sort of a new thing there, while it has been in Europe for a while now, so people aren't so enthusiastic about it anymore. Also there are some cheesy tunes that are sort of repelling people and softening the scene.
Here there are almost no trance parties anymore. There weren't much of them before either, but now there are none. Many people now started to listen to techno instead. I hope that this situation will not be permanent, and that it will change eventually. |

| I hope it dies and goes away for a little while, only to reborn even bigger. Hopefully it goes back to it's roots and is a little bit more groundbreaking sonically like in the early Harthouse years. Rave Organ leads and formulaic cheese tracks need to go away, never to return... |
