P.S. A lot of phones have that storage capacity nowadays, so maybe combining a phone and an mp3 player is something worth considering? |

also add the fact that storage media is getting large and cheap as hell. You buy a nice 4gb Mini SD Card for dirt cheap! |

however, most phones can only go up to 1 gig or max 2. so it depends on how much storage u want. i get along fine with my 1 gig. since ill listen to it on walks, the bus, etc. however, battery life is significantly cut to your phone so if you need good battery life in your phone, prob not ur best option. i get away with a day and halfs worth of battery, listening probably about 2-3 hrs on my phone. its important to properly charge your battery (goes for any re-chargable application). that meaning, draining your battery till its dead before recharging |

Is there anyway do flash do something to the phone so it will be able to support larger cards? |

Give an example of a phone with a MiniSD card that only takes cards up to 2GB, because that's pretty unusual.
If you're looking for an mp3 phone, Sony Ericssons are the best - relatively cheap, and their memory cards go up to 4GB. Nokias are good for that too. |

Sony W810 is a great phone. It's got the Walkman software and you can drag and drop to it no problem. It does a pretty decent job at video too. The memory card that currently comes with it is 4GB (thru Rogers) - but the next model will be 8GB (if you want to wait).
The only downside is the retarded lack of a headphone jack. You've got to use their adapter that plugs into the bottom of the phone. Other than that, it's all good. |

Although people here have had bad experiences with Sandisk, some of their players aren't that bad. None ever get good reviews, as they're basically pretty cheap, but functional.
If you don't want to shell out the big bucks, I'd definitely consider an MPIO player. They come in some pretty nice designs, aren't the most expensive thing out there, need no software, and are pretty reliable. I've had a couple, and never had a problem with one. |
