| Try salt...place actual salt in there and hold it in there even though it's going to hurt like a MOTHERF*** but it'll heal by the following day. |

i get these ALL the time.
stay away from toothpaste because they have a foaming agent called SLS that lifts moisture from the skin, making them hurt more. SLS is also believed to cause more cankersores cause dry skin = more possibility of wounds. what i do is mouthwash my mouth before/after brushing.
the way i treat them short and long term is by using ALCOHOL. alcoholic mouthwash (ie not crest prohealth) is obviously the most practical but ive recently been using skyy vodka lol. fill half of the skyy cap w/ vodkda and apply directly to the canker sore. mine heal in about 72 hours :)
stay away from salt and very acidic foods (oranges, vinegar etc) those make them hurt more |

| The thread title mislead me. When I was young, the word 'canker(s)' was playground slang for a guy's balls. I don't think it meant that anywhere else though. :p |
