| I got there around 12 and the line was sick outside...Luckily a friend of mine got me in real quick. Edgar did play pretty mellow at first, but you gotta remember he had to play for like 8 hours or more. He started picking it up at around 3AM. It was good seeing a good amount of TA's out there...Til next week!! :toothless |

| The triangle corrupt idiots were taking money to have people skip the line for PvD, and I ranted on that on my PvD review. Come on people we can all agree that Space staff wouldn't do that on times past. It's pretty disgusting to see that happen. I know some pay the doorman to get in 18+( although even that was hard or is hard in Space ) but to skip the line ?? freaking A |

Exactly. It's a night club... it is not Studio 54.
If I recall they fired Angel who was the best doorman Space has ever seen.. for some stupid bull . These new door ppl are sketchy.
It's a night club and a business. I don't think anyone wants a dishonest employee working for their company. The money Flo and others paid to skip the line could have easily been spent on a drink INSIDE the club. |

All in all I had a great time til the drinks started kicking in. I left around 4am.
Space is not too bad but for the ones who jock the holy piss out of the terrace.....
IT's not all that, BUT! since it is the only place that stay open that late it comes in handy for the late night/morning clubbers or party goers.
On some points I agree with Flo (not necessarily in his words). Space does have it's ups & downs.

thanks for the input. im actually going to follow your suggestion. but what bothered me more than the actual bribe was just the fact that the inside was ing empty when we got in there. thats pretty gay. keeping people out when you could be making money off them if they were inside.

well it was free to get in, and parking was $15 at 10:30. what the happened to all the $10 ones? they are all $15 or $20 now. i mean, there was one $10 one but all the way across and under the highway, like 3-4 blocks down. and id rather just park closer.

you know i understand this. but if the talent isnt there, then im not going to stay. and getting there at 4am. im too old for that . the only way ill arrive at space that late is for the k man or some other nasty dj that i know would rock the terrace. but space doesnt care to bring in talent, so i dont care to go. i figured edgar might be a bit better than a regular saturday and thats the only reason i decided to go. and i didnt have a bad time, cuz i expected the worst. the company more than anything is what made the night

It's how they handled the situation that pisses me off. The 2 door guys were such dicks. Even when I had Edgar on the phone they didn't wanna talk to him. They completely turned their backs to me. Edgar had to fuking walk away from the booth and outside to tell the stupid bald jerk off to let us in.
I don't know if you need a college degree in copying and pasting but it's really not that difficult.
Now about the review. I think Space's mainroom is made for Trance. Everytime I have seen some house dj inside the main room, it just hasn't been my cup of tea. As for the Patio sets.. They are UNBELIEVABLE! ld get there way after 4 am. Mainroom + House doesn't do it for me.
Also, bashing Space just cuz you've been there a million times is kinda weak. Space is a GREAT fuking club and trust me if you have partied in the West Coast with 90% of the club doing the "washing machine" or partied in Dallas where they had a bounce house at a rave you will not take Space for granted. New York is great because it has about 10 different EDM clubs to choose from but none that I have been to even Compare to Space.
Not even a club branded with the name "PACHA". On that note I am dying to hit up LA in Sept or Oct cuz I know the club situation over there is a little bit better then the places I have been too. |
i agree, the mainroom is built for trance and the terrace is built for house. but it can still be whack. i dont believe i should ever have to lower my expectations. it just pisses me off that one of the best clubs ive ever been to, is wasting their last days throwing parties. bro, if space was bringing in talent, i would be there every ing weekend, even despite the crowd. but the lack of anything decent to hit up, the horrible staff, and the terrible losers that attend now, its just not worth it. like i said before, i didnt have a bad time, but thats cuz i expected that kinda . my review was only to point those things out.
and despite the fact that i hate space so much now, i still brag about the club being the best in north america to my friends who've never been. cuz if they've never been, they wont know any better. whats the point of me bitching about it when they wont understand anyway. thats why i posted this here, where people might get it.

you're right. and this is what ive been saying for almost a year now. space has gone so ing downhill. and will continue until they move. everytime i go i see some new unbelievable that ive never seen before. and not the good either. its just sad and it bothers me so much that this place i used to love requires such effort now to have a good time.
