OK, overall I liked the track, a few things that stood out to me:

The Bass Drum sounds good, but the open hats seemed a little too thin, they didn't have that "flowing" sound you get when you put them through a good compressor. The drum programming seemed to lack some groove.

The pad swells sounded really good in the context of the track and I liked the lead sound, but again I kept feeling like the leads weren't "thick" enough. Most of the elements other then the Bass Drum and Bass line seemed too thin.

I liked the bass, especially when it drops to just bass and drums around 0:50. I think the bass sounds very fat, which is good.

The thing is that the track is well balanced, so making changes may upset this balance a little. but i think this track is really close, just needs a few extra touches.

Pretty nice work overall. I enjoyed listening. Like the intro, strong beat and bassline, both prominent throughout the track. Bassline sound is pretty phatt i like it. I agree that the pad swells and lead are both very good but also that the lead could be given a bit more power to it. I have to say im not a fan of the blippy synths that start around 1:16, but that could just be me :P And i love that sweeping pad right at the end - it fills the hearing space very nicely indeed. Its got a nice flow to it - in my opinion a pretty nice sounding song just needing those few improvements. Good luck :D

That's a good point... thanks.

Thanks a lot for the review! Basslines seem to be what I'm doing well, lately.

Thanks a lot for the listen. I happen to like those blippy synths though, hehe.
The Drow
nice intro.
the drum programming does lack some groove.
I like the blips.
The chords' synth behind it sounds cheap. Replace or improve it.
The bassline is ok.
The snare turns to be much more upfront when the kick is absent.
Fix it.

7/10

A bit demanding, are we? :p

Thanks for the review. I agree on the snare... I toyed with the idea of turning it down in places but I decided to leave it.

I really liked the FX you used, especially in the beginning. The name title is very clever to, "Air minor." I like the progressive chained bass. I thought the drums could have had more drive too. Also, the melody was warn out by the time I was done listening. Maybe if you extended it to 16 bars instead of eight it wouldn't' get warn out so quickly. I think the main lead would go best if it was layered with one more sound. I really liked the oldschool video game stuttered lead later in the song. Overall I liked it in the beginning and it fills the sound spectrum nicely. I think you're almost ready to get signed if you aren't already.

Thanks a lot for the review. Yeah, regarding your "oldschool video game stuttered lead" comment, I was going for a definite Commodore 64 sound on that... nice catch. :)
