(the fact that Samael Jackson is on the poster makes it seem like they are spoiling a major plot point)

i read the short story a long time ago. definitely want to see it, to see how accurate they were. the last SK movie I saw was Secret Window w/ Johnny Depp, and it was literally spot on ffrom the novella by SK. was good. hoping this is too.

I love the movies that come from SK novels. They're pretty much the only novels I can sit and read from front to back.
I'm totally checking this out.

I enjoyed IT until the giant bird attacked one of the characters. Then the end with the giant spider. It was like an adult goonies, except a very serious horror. In retrospect (and a foggy 6 years later), i don't think it was in my 900 page book highlights.
Shining was awesome though. I enjoy both the film and the book. Kubrick did the best he could for a film(superb film), but yeah, the book definitely has more time to expand (and in such beautiful detail, +1 to kings writing) on the Shining's characters.

I couldn't put IT down, literally i read the whole 1100 pages or whatever in about 10 days or so. the first night, i was up until like 3am, and saw i was on page 99 or something. the ending was a little...well...goonie-esque, but still pretty decent.
+1 on the Shining too. the scene were the firehose was coming off the wall towards Danny, i was literally on the edge of my seat and almost fell off....the suspense he wrote was just amazing. and both movies were OK...Kubrick had his own cool twist, but the made for TV movie followed the plot more.....i don't think anyone could have done a better job of Mr. Torence as Jack Nicholson
Ripped Bag
I saw it yesterday and loved it.

Track record for SK books turned movies isn't that great.
Misery was top notch though, thanks to cathy bates' awesome performance.
Haven't read this one yet, maybe I should before watching the movie.
