amazing day! i was a little worried at first when i heard that the stage was moved, but it couldn't have been better. the vibe was unreal just like previous years, and the music was pretty good. good seeing everyone out again. the only downside to the labatt stage, was that a bunch of friends of mine couldn't get in after about 9:30.

here are my pics:

PICTURES!

i have a few vids that i will upload later too.

I absolutly loved the feel of standing on the street, watching the crowd, listening to BIG bass lines just resonate through the buildings.

On a related note, I truly was suprised by the amount of families showing their support. It was especially good seeing a lot of Indian, South Asian families, as homosexuality is often discouraged.

My first PRIDE experience was a great one! I could say so much about it but let me just mention a few things.

--Seeing a few familiar faces representing the marijuana compassion centres booth/setup on the street (providing info about marijuana as a medicinal substance).
--Thank you to Andrea to meeting with me early in the afternoon to watch the parade (Andrea...you're soooo gorgeous!--I know Jamie will back me 100% on this haha).
--The atmosphere around the city was awesome: everybody had a positive vibe and was smiling; getting shot with water guns felt so good in the heat haha.
--Thank you to Sasha for meeting with me later on in the day and keeping me company for a few hours! Sorry I didn't make it back to Syd's stage Sash--by that time I knew there'd be no way I'd get in.
--I saw sooo many TAs and friends--it was really great to party with you guys! Matt, Rich, Simon, Sasha (really great seeing you Sash--you're awesome, simple as that!), Nada, Ali (love you guys; Nada's hugs are the bestttttttt haha), Hillary (so friendly! I could see that you loveeee to dance  ), RJ (and his g/f) (both of you had smiles the whole time and were totally friendly towards me!), Jay (dance machine), Infinity High (first time seeing you out), Jenn (finally hun!), Lars (was shy around me haha), Shanny (always a pleasure), Lisa (only caught up w/ u for a sec), Jamie (great meeting you dood), Cribby (been a while bud!) and a bunch of others!!
--Jelo and Deko-Ze dropped some great tunes (but also a few I just wasn't feeling); they basically kept me dancing the whole time :D
--This was the first time I partied while completely sober; being able to dance sober and have a great time was a big accomplishment for me YAY!!

Such a great day; I will DEFINITELY be back again next year.

Friday + Saturday were good and went as planned.

Sunday was a bit of a let down for me. I missed the parade, and had to wait what seemed like 2 hours for my friend's friend to come pick her up...who wasn't even coming to the festivities might I add...and decided to go to a bar near front street. HELLO? Pride festivities you idiots! :P Bah! So like an angry Cribby I rushed to the labatt stage...where I waited a lengthy but oh so fun hour to get in. Didn't get to spend nearly as much time with friends than I wanted to..last year was so much better, in organization, etc.

As soon as I got in I downed 3 beers in less than 10 minutes on an empty stomach...that seemed to do wonders for me...and my sloppy feet couldn't stop movin :D

The little bits of time I did see everyone was the highlight for me. I love outdoor parties :)
