I'm listening to Hurt of Intention from Ferry's new CD, and it once again astounds me how bad trance lyrics can be...."Don't make me run, like a river, confused..."

I only remember lyrics if they are good. If they don't make sense my brain just refuses to accept them into my memory :p |

| 98% of lyrics written for trance music are crap. i like how the tracks sound because the singers are good trance vocalists, but once you stop and actually listen to the lyrics most of the time they make no type of sense. |

I think part of the reason for that may be international differences. Say someone is thinking of the lyrics in another language and translating to English it may not always be conveyed the same way and in another language it might make perfect sense. |

i agree
dutch dj's have lyrics in english but i always have to laugh at the words

I can understand that point but why bother translating into English? I listen to music in other languages and enjoy it just fine because of the notes not the words. Also a lot of people began studying English really early (ie. 8 yrs old) so their grasp of the language should be exquisite. I don't know, it also wouldn't be so difficult to ask a native speaker if the lyrics make sense. |

True, I prefer no lyrics at all. May be they feel the song won't be as popular if it is in another language. Who knows :p |

You just might be right. I do love hearing vocalists on occasion though :tongue2 too bad the lyrics are sometimes bad. |

By far one of my favorite vocal trance tunes ever (the Beam vs. Cyrus mix though), but the lyrics are a bit iffy haha...
