midge bite treatment???

Hi guys,
I was out on friday night - scored, but still living with parents so i had to poke the doll at the end of the driveway.. being summertime there were a lot of midges about..
So my entire body is now COVERED in wee bites.. i cant stop scratching myself and the skin's really raw..
any one know any decent treatments?
heard that antihistamines might help..
suggestions?
