I don't see how that changes what I said. Just because you change the input settings doesn't mean it's going to 'find' any new data in the track. It's already been mastered for vinyl, the elements you need for a proper digital rip are gone.

It would be easier if I had screen shots of wav forms or something.

is mp3 VBR just random, or does it analyze and calculate the audio data to wether it deserves to be put to the max/least of the VBR limit?

It analyzes it and tries it's best to figure out what needs to go where, I think there's a way to do it manually too but I'm not sure.
