Familiarity in sets
View this Thread in Original format
DJ Omeed
After this summer, I return to the small town where I study, and there isn't really an EDM scene there. Im getting gigs, but I want to create more familiarity in my sets with somewhat known tracks remixed into house and trance...or even just the melody of a famous track.

Some examples;
Brazen-Toto
Anna Nalick-2am(blake jarrel)
snow patrol-chasing cars(blake jarrel)
Proper Education

Help would be greatly appreciated :):)

Even if they are mixes of top 40 tracks like

catdolls - Dont Cha (Kaskade Mix)
Justin Timberlake - My Love (Paul Oakenfold Mix)
Justin Timberlake - Like I Love You (Basement Jaxx Vocal Mix)
(also check out the 'Acid Dub'. Killer tune!)
Mary J Blige - Be Without You (Promo Only Remix)
Madonna - Sorry (PSB Maxi-Mix)

Get a subscription to Promo Only's Mainstream Club series. That should give you a decent variety on a fairly regular basis. (www.promoonly.com)

Shame on you for not giving me credit for that post:whip:

Buy yeah, you might want to try laying some new Accapellas on top of the dubs of your EDM tracks. I might try doing something like that soon, because good EDM remixes of Top40 end up in the circuit/gay realm more often than not...

No.

But my sis goes to school at Kingston and it's good to know where I can go for some decent tunes whenever I come for a visit.
