If you liked Event Horizon, then you will love Sunshine. Sunshine uses a similar formula to Event Horizon, but gets it right. Top en movie  . It's like 2001 Space Odyssey, Solaris & Event Horizon all in one movie, but with better effects.

The first half freaked the living out of me. Didn't help that I as watching it alone in the dark with headphones on -plus I have this odd but severe phobia of decompression- but at about the point Fishburne starts hearing voices, pushes his head against the wall to regain his compsure, and gets that quick intense vision, I'd had enough. I couldn't take it anymore and turned the movie off.
The next day I carried on from where I left, in full sunlight without headphones. And although it was rather gory I handled the second half no problem. Heh, funny how a setting can really effect your movie watching experience. |
