Oh NICE Steph! I thought Matt was the hottest female in the Kitchen Sessions but it looks like we're getting some competition.

damn I wish I could afford lol
nah, I'm practicing on a laptop right now. A friend should be bringing his decks over very soon when he gets the chance, so it'll be a whole new experience. But I'm getting this beat matching crap down while I have the chance. I am finding the hardest part is deciding which beat is in front of the other for me to decide which way to nudge. Please tell me that's supposed to be the hardest part.
A little bit of train wreckin' - but the ones I get right dead on and the mix is awesome, I can't help but do a little victory dance around the room. but something tells me victory dances aren't really awesome in a real dj booth. lol
and if anyone would like to bring their decks over and hook up to my speakers are welcome anytime, as long as I get to play on them ;)

it was another 4 hour set today - way too much fun.

throw the computer in the trash if your using it for djing.

Yes deciding what beat is in front of each other is one of the hardest things to do so hear is a little tip.

You can never beat match 2 songs perfectly, so what you do is when you beat matching is just listen and see witch one is playing slower, then get it as close as you can but still keeping it slower. this way when they start to get off you already know witch one you need to speed up.

If you start on actuall turn tables dont even worry about the beat matching the first 2 hours. Just learn to drop the track and how to speed it up and slow it down using your fingers LIGHTLY. you have to be able to drop the track on 1 so practice that sweetie
