| Fireworks and swimming got cancelled but we still went to a yummy bbq and got drunk. The rain wasnt a problem because we had outdoor shelter from it :D |

this one was interesting..
i spent this 4th of july fireworks show ALONE AT HOME by myself...ok it was kinda sad to say the least lol...actually very sad while they played all of those happy go-lucky tunes but then i thought to myself, hey this is quite nice...no one to bother me no one to ask for anything so i sat there with my bowl piece, toked away, watched and fell out in the comfort of my bed and air condition!
spent the majority of the day with my family, visited a friends small bbq for an hour, all in all a nice mid-week break but...
this weekend..its on like donkey kong..got me some mohegan sun, beach, biking, and dinner parties to attend. life is better since i've been in a rut for the past month or so
btw i melted off 20lbs - congrats to me - 20 more to go
and i've been substance and alcohol free for a few weeks... |

We spent the first half of the day with Mom, bbqing and eating an interesting spread(my moms a vegetarian who eats seafood so there was shrimp-kabobs and other things); ended up bringing home a crapload of meat and other items (you know how Moms are hehe :) ) so that was enjoyable.
decided last-minute to hit up the fireworks display. Parking was horrible; parked 15 blocks away from viewing area BUT had a great spot underneath the Manhattan Bridge (the park to the right of Tobacco Warehouse/Empire Fulton Park) - thanks to kelly and wai for securing a spot, intending to get a glimpse of the fireworks by 34th Street. I forgot that there are actually 2-3 different firework displays tho...when the fireworks started going off by the Brooklyn Bridge/Seaport, you bet everyone turned with the quickness and started walking/running toward them haha. so i guess for future reference we now know that TW is actually a great place in which to view fireworks. The display was enjoyable, although a tad lackluster cuz we watched it the year before at Gantry Plaza State Park in LIC - and it was only 30-45 min. But still, the company made it all the difference and it was FUN :) Drew got to practice with the camera using a tripod, taking some really AMAZING shots. :D
still wished it was a 3 day weekend tho cuz i am ASS tired now at work

Congrats to Bri for loosing weight. I think I gained some. We had some grilled steaks, spicy butterfly prawn, salad, fruit salad, potato salad, bbq beans, carrot cake, burgers, and lots of alchohal. |

ur guys fireworks were really outstanding, i saw already alot in my life but thisone behind that ing hot skyline was astonishing!!!
cant remember when i saw the last one that took me away like that :crazy:
