I really don't want to turn this in to a Creator thing, since the topic has nothing to do with me. I just want to clear things up about me ''refusing'' to play at Bal en Blanc.
I did not refuse because I didn't want to, or because of lack of respect towards Bal en Blanc. I was really excited when I have been offered to play there. BEB did not call me, it was JFL from Aria that was booking the tech-trance room line-up, and it was really kind of him to offer a spot to me. I was really flattered. BUT, I was in a situation where I was most likely going to warm up for either Armin or Infected. Now i didn't think I was doing myself a favor, and even more to the trance-psy-trance people to play my stuff in that situation.
So, would I play for BEB or GK? of course I would love to! Would I put myself in a situation where I have to make compromises on my music, be in a bad spot where my sound doesn't fit and will most likely have bad consequences for me, play low key to make another DJ look good, or accept a 200$ paycheck when others are payed 20,000$? No.
That's the story.

I was hearing the name Carl Cox being thrown around......
armin and rank 1.....at least bring some new names if it has to be trance.....
Hope a really good dj like Cox will rescue this event
laughing at how people keep mentioning that Montreal is a house city cause the last big event that had a solid house lineup was Cream....its been trance all the time :(....Just have one trance guy and all the rest house...LIKE CREAM WASSSSSSS!

Carl Cox pleeeeeeeease, or Sander, angello and ingrosso would even be good....show us SOMETHING...is their idea of a house dj making danny torrence play trance again like at resolution?
The problem is people like me will go anyway, just cuz it's all we've got as far as massives go. and the vicious cycle shalt continute. |

Tiesto was at the Metropolis in May 2006 and at Resolution on NYE.
Unfortunately he's already booked on Sept 1st :sadgreen: |

And yes montreal IS a house city, not counting the big massives, It's House everywhere in every club every single day, except for 1 or 2 Trance events we get once in a purple moon. The rest is all House.
Just look around the MTLTAs, no need to look further, they're all House heads and many of them actually loathe Trance. :rolleyes: |

That's cuz all they care about is $$$ and they'd rather play it safe. They're too chicken to take a risk and bring new DJs to town. :rolleyes: |

Yup. Plus they are way too cheap to bring Sasha and Digweed for the whole night :whip: cheapskates!!!
