hey, good to see a rui da silva thread! he's coming out with some good e right now (today). :)
That remix album is a great value. gonna get me mitts on it.
yeah, there's 3 versions of "Fire" as far as I'm aware.

Anyway. Fire is on its own record (2 mixes). Earth & Water were on a record together last year.
Sorry patticus for not getting back to you about ripping that. It would actually be cool if you could! I've these other Fire mp3s sitting around on my disk for a couple weeks and haven't got around to posting them. I'll try to get a post up tomorrow. :)
I've got some other good stuff too...
and don't overlook some of Rui Da Silva's older Underground Sound of Lisbon stuff either. Excellent, especially the Red Pepper mix of "The Lights". Amazing tune. |

oh so prototype you have the full 'matrix mix'
which has the vocal, the whole thing starts with a weird one beat kick drum, and then most of the vocal is at the beginning?

yep...thas it...not too many vocals throughout the song but still adds a nice touch...thankx though...hehehe... |

I just wanted to say that Rui Da Silva is a great music-maker.
I remember when I was in England in DEC 2000 and "touch me" was just out, it ruled! Are his new songs worth buying? Ministry of Sound did predict that his label(forgot the name) would rule in the future! |

His label is called Kismet.

I've heard it's a great album with both new and old tracks.
I haven't found it yet cause I want him also.

Yeah, that remix album looks killer. Gotta get that this weekend.
So just to wrap up:
The "Stoned" promo vinyl had the following tracks:
A1: Rui Da Silva - Stoned (8:43)
B1: Rui Da Silva - Matrix (7:35) <-- movie samples, short, some elements of the later "Fire"
And the "Fire" promo had the following:
A1: Rui Da Silva pres The Four Elements - Fire (12:30) <-- samples movie
B1: Rui Da Silva pres The Four Elements - Fire (12:18) <--similar, but shorter and no movie samples
Is this right?
And don't even get me started on the "sea of barclay" and "badagry beach" mess... ;) |
