I DON'T MEAN TO STEP ON ANY FLA DJ/PROMOTER'S TOES WITH THIS POST IF THERE IS INDEED A WEEKLY GOING ON IN JACKSONVILLE! IF THERE IS SOMETHING GOING EVERY SATURDAY, PLEASE LET ME KNOW AND I WILL DELETE THIS POST!
This is mainly for those in JAX looking for something to do on a Thursday or Saturday night since JAX is the closest major city to Savannah (only an hour or so drive).
Every Thursday and Saturday night from 10pm to 3am I'm playing at Venus De Milo in downtown Savannah, serving up the widest assortment of underground dance music in Savannah, ranging from the main course of progressive house and electro, with a side dish of tribal and breaks, and a rich and creamy slice of trance & techno as the dessert! Some of the hottest tracks come courtesy of membership to a few big records pools, a number of unsigned promos done by up and coming artists, a big stack of white label vinyls from various stores across Europe, and a few prime cuts from the usual suspects on the MP3 store circuits (Beatport, Audiojelly, XpressBeats, etc).
Check the MySpace blog for the most current weekly chart to see what's on the playlist (which is NEVER the same from week to week or night to night).
If you're looking for something to do and there isn't anything to do in your area (or you just happen to be taking a vacation in Savannah/Tybee Island), head on up to the SAV and stop by Venus De Milo!
