Sorry if this posts twice - just had a mad moment.
Does anyone know any forums where singers interested in this sort of music hang out? I tried MusoFinder but in my area they're mostly interested in rock.

Thank you both. MySpace is a mine of good info, and I'll get a sample organised.

I actually sing baritone myself (used to front a rock band) but I haven't yet incorporated it with my trance songs. It seems like within trance, having a song with lyrics and some kind of verse/chorus pattern is a bit looked down upon. I've recently discovered that a lot of the artists I like are really more trance-influenced electronic body music (EBM) than trance itself. Perhaps there are EBM forums on the web as well.
Peace,

Yeah I sing too, don't know how much room there is in trance for male singers though, I did some coutertenor style stuff and then chopped it up and that was cool once (I've got a good range lol:D ) but I don't know how much singing you can do if your a guy... The only good track I can think of in "trance" (not house or electro or something) which uses a male vocal is that solarstone track Late Summer Fields, its pretty cool, but its the minority.
I'm still trying to get some sort of cohesive style in the trance genre, I can't seem to incorporate my voice in... |
