hardly what the first two installments were like, imo... oh well, maybe they ran out of essential trance songs. |

I'm not the best reviewer because I chose the tracks but in my opinion it's full of tracks that have never been released in their full versions on CD (Catapila, Breeder,...) or download (Kim Sanders,Dave Swayze,...) and if you have the other 4 volumes, it makes a damn fine good & unique collection.
Everyone has it's own taste, 'cause many find volume 2 to be the weakest.
And indeed it is getting difficult to find tracks because they just don't make them like that anymore. This kind of trance is a bit "pass" but they are lots of fans still left (I hope). If anyone can help me secure the rights to Chicane's "Offshore", I'll send him the 8 Volumes of Heaven & Angels ;) |

Is this like the Chill Trance Essentials then, only with "deep" trance- a genre summary as opposed to a mix of new music?
Either way, the tracklist does look interesting. I'd be happy to review it on TranceCritic if you sent me a promo. |

I started with Heaven a few years ago (1 volume / year) and later came Angels Chill Trance Essentials.
It is indeed supposed to present a summary of good "deep trance / progressive" tracks of the past with some new ones (depends on what's released in that genre), no more no less. It's become quite popular here in Belgium where every volume has been in the national top 10 charts. Which is quite surprising looking at the others CD's.
I'll see with the label what I can do about a promo. (www.news.be) |
