why dont you just get back to helping the Yankees out of this ing big mess that we're currently in....i cant do it all on my own James...especially when i'm banged up in "the red sox nation" |

i had a fight with a black belt in karate once...he punched me about six times in two seconds and i just stood there...
i slammed my head in to his face...he dropped like a sack of ..."out ing cold"
i then peed on him,,put him in a shopping cart and pushed him down a hill.... |

wrong brother. Lenox fought Vitali, not Wladamir who is fighting this weekend. About that lewis fight though, Vitali was actually kicking Lewis' ass that fight and was up on all the judge's score cards. That cut on his face was ghastly, I agree. Again, that was Vitali Klitschko though, who is now retired.
about UFC and mixed martial arts...i couldn't disagree with you more. To be a successful mixed martial arts fighter, you need to be cross trained in more than just "karate" for example. You need to know how to stand and strike (boxing / kick boxing), wrestling, and you have to know jiu jitsu at this point. if you fought a mixed martial arts guy, he wouldn't have punched you in the face 6 times and then let you headbut him. he would have taken you down, and choked you out, or broken your arm, or pounded your face into hamburger meat. haha an ectreme example, I know, but mixed martial arts is a serious ass sport. I used to be obsessed with boxing, and after getting back into MMA boxing just bores me to death for the most part. |

Furthermore to what zizack was saying... Vitali was cut open by the typical and non-secretive headbutts that Lewis is known for. Lennox is the between the two of them, he retired right after that fight because he KNEW he couldnt beat Vitali.
Steven, MMA is more than just knowing karate. Karate means nothing. But to have someone who is cross-trained in jiu-jitsu and kick-boxing, youd have some serious problems. First off, lets take Judo for example... in order to move up in ranks you have to win tournaments. You dont get belts just for showing up to class... I think in order to get to a black belt in Judo, you have to win 20 tournaments. Jiu-jitsu is even tougher than that.
