Scott and I would like to thank you all for your well wishes and support.

Our father, Jerry Anderson, pased away July 2, 2007 in his favorate place, his cottage. He went for a morning walk, as was his routine, but died of a massive heart attack on his return. He died a very happy man having just retired and having spent a very fun weekend with my mother, Mrs. Hazard, and I. While he was taken from us far too soon he did live an incredible life, and he wouldn't change it for all the time in the world.

Should you wish to have some further insight into who my father was, please review the condolences for Jerry Anderson at the funeral home's site

In the coming days I will post the eulogy I delivered in my father's honour. While none of you knew him, I believe we can all benefit from it.

I am so terribly sorry for your loss. The adjustment alone is the most difficult to bear but remember that it is healthy to grieve and rely on the people that love you to help you through.

Death is nothing at all

Death is nothing at all.
I have only slipped away into the next room.
I am I and you are you,
Whatever we were to each other, that we still are.
Call me by my old familiar name,
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Put no difference in your tone,
wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow,
laugh as we always laughed
at the little jokes we enjoyed together.
Pray smile, think of me, pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word
that it always was.
Let it be spoken without effort,
without the trace of a shadow in it.
Life means all that it ever meant,
it is the same as it ever was.
There is unbroken continuity,
why should I be out of mind
because I am out of sight?
I am waiting for you
somewhere very near
just around the corner.
All is well

My thoughts are with you x
