well i got hired for a gig last week and i was all excited i had everything ready.
so the lady that hired me wanted to meet up for coffee and chat for a bit before the big day.
so i showed up and i was sitting at the table for a bit (i described myself to her before we met) anyways i was sitting there for awhile and it turns out she was there the whole time in the table behind me. so once we were both on the same table she started to hesittate bout me djing for her party..said i shouldnt be there cus there would be boos but i tried to explain to her that i also drink and everything so it would be cool. but in the end she called it off jus cus of my age! |

| Being underage sucks, trust me. But like the dude above me said, more time to get ready. It kicks ass having a head start! Plus waiting a while makes you more passionate once you get into it. |

| same thing happened to me before dude, if im not mistake we are the same age, 16b right? well I was gona try to get contacts from this nearby club and try to get gigs but it seems that even for teen nights it isnt possible for me, i've never had a real gig before so that sucks even more, but w/e like the big guys said, more time for us to practice and get that real passion for the art. |

| You probably shouldn't of told her you drink - you're underage and she got worried about having that liability. Also, according to the ABC law, you legally ARE able to spin in a 21+ club/event. As long as you are there to work or provide a service (dj'ing is included) and there is no alcohol in your immediate presence, you can be there. At least, thats how it is here in CA. |
