well, i was in toronto - then moved back to dundas... then was toronto to dundas back and forth.... now i'm in dundas..... and plan to be back in the city in three weeks :)

Definitely define what you consider downtown. I had the same conversation with some friends and what some ppl consider downtown I'd consider a different city, lol. Ok, not that bad, but I'd definitely consider it inconvenient.
I'm in a place right now that looks like it prolly fits what you would be looking for, and is within your price range, but it'll be tough. I would suggest checking MLS.ca and the usual classified sites. Based on what you've said, I'd also look to see for rentals in buildings like the District Lofts, Dalhousie Lofts, Hudson (newer development), Icon, SOHO. These are all very downtown core and you might be able to get a suite for the price range. If you don't need parking either, it will help as you can either rent it out if it comes with or knock of a few bucks from the asking if you don't want to take it at all. |
