Hepatitis B is a different story-- it is far more infectious than HIV, and is also a blood borne virus. NOT SO WITH HIV/AIDS.

One germ that has been commonly associated with a folliculitis-- inflammed hair bumps, especially on the legs-- can be spread in pools, especially hot tubs or jacuzzis, where the temperature of the water is far warmer, which makes it more difficult to control disinfection chemicals like chlorine or bromine.

Ok, I understand the family being upset, but not everyone knows how every ing disease in the world spreads. The owner was only trying to protect himself and the other people using the pool. He wasn't trying to be a douche.
Now if the owner knew about something that the kid could have passed on, and he let him in the pool, then it would be another story.
People need to chill the out. Not everyone understands the intricacies of every damn thing under the moon. I don't know how easy it is to catch aids, and I probably wouldn't have felt comfortable sharing a pool with someone who had HIV unless I thoroughly read up on it just to make sure it wasn't hazardous.
Asking for a note I think is fair. Having a doctors note for usage of public utilities that harbor germs such as pools and showers, when you knowingly have a lethal disease, is not an unfair request. |
