Holiday in the USA, parties?

So I'll be visiting the West of your fine country for a road trip in September and begin of October, and I was wondering if there are any good parties planned for that period. We'll probably not be near any big cities when the parties are, but you never know. Any other tips you can give are also always appreciated :) Here's the full itinerary:

The hotels are all booked already :(
I'll talk about it with my girlfriend, if we like SF at the beginning of our trip, we might just change our plans and spend the last 3 days there as well. |

What's your budget? I'll help you find one
If I can find several during a cancer rally, aids benefit and all star game going on within a week's time for some out of town friends - I'm pretty sure I can find one that weekend. |

Most of the hotels we booked are in a range of $50-$100 a night, but since I know SF is pretty expensive when it comes to hotels, I'd say something around $150 is a maximum.
But still, have to check with my girlfriend, she's back on friday, and also see with Avis if I can bring the rented car back in earlier, since I don't see me driving around SF, and certainly not on that weekend :) |

| you should switch out sept 10-12 in sf cause nothing will be happening on those dates due to lovefest. try spending at least a half day in napa valley if you like nice scenery and wine tasting. add hearst castle to your morro bay trip if you can. while in monterey hit up the mb aquarium of course and also check out carmel by the sea, pt lobos and big sur/bixby bridge via the 17-mile drive. rent a boat and check out emerald bay in lake tahoe while up around yosemite and definitely be in sf for lovefest weekend if you wanna party! :toocool: |

I just talked to my girlfriend, and she said that even though it looks nice, she doesn't want to go switch dates around, since we already booked all our hotels and such.
The first three days in SF will be for sightseeing anyway, visiting the usual suspects like Alcatraz and such.
Lovefest looked nice though, maybe I can still make her change her mind, but I doubt it ;) |
