Clipping In Tracks

I don't know if it's a fault of the producers or a fault of the digital purchase sites, but more and more I've been hearing a lot of tunes by established, professional producers with clipping in the track.

If it's the producers, SLOW DOWN and take your time getting your levels right!

If it's the digital purchase sites, somone's gotta fix that cause these great tunes are getting destroyed by all this clipping.

the release of ame - shiro on beatport clips but the clips have been 'softened' so that it just sounds very distorted

the beatport version of bt - fibonacci sequence is terribly clipped

what do you mean by "download sites"

i think a better name to call em is "digital purchase sites"

its a ploy by to get you to purchase the vinyl..

I have a few records that sound clipped too.

Ive been having good luck with Sonic CD creator as it has a track normalizer feature. It actually does work.

You can't "un-clip" a track. Normalizing does not accomplish that, unless you're talking about using that in your production process.

It's funny, really. Technology is improving all the time and yet when it comes to music, any advances in sound quality are being nullified through tracks being mastered way too loud.

It's not a matter of the technology that is available to us, it's the users who think that the louder a mastered track the better it will be.
