I actually need a job too. If it helps, I'm studying aerospace engineering (could also do mechanical engineering type things) at Stanford, send me a PM if you've got ideas. |
I have two cousins that are former engineers at NASA in Houston. Got an updated resume? One of them is now a professor at USC. So he may be able to help you out there. Send me a PM |

I was thinking of applying there Packer, but I need to graduate first. |
How long do you have? I have no doubt that you would not only find work of interest here, but that you'd be a good candidate for some of those positions. Take a look at the job postings, there are new ones opening all the time: http://www.swri.org/hr/default.htm
This is a list of SwRI's technical divisions:
Aerospace Electronics & Information Technology
Applied Physics
Automation & Data Systems
Chemistry & Chemical Engineering
Engine, Emissions & Vehicle Research
Fuels & Lubricants Research
Geosciences & Engineering
Mechanical & Materials Engineering
Signal Exploitation & Geolocation
Space Science & Engineering
Training, Simulation & Performance Improvement |

| Zeonfiend |
| Considering his past exploits, Jacob's a shoo-in for the "Fuels & Lubricants" division. :D |

Especially in Houston. I don't know what type of engineering you are going into, but there's many industries there that have a plethora (Si, El Guapo. You have many plethora) of intern and entry level positions. |

probably true but I have almost no idea how to go about looking for one. just cruise online help wanted ads or what? also: aerospace/mechanical engineering.
I'm putting in an app to SwRI just in case, but I'd rather not live in SA |

If you would like I can contact both of my cousins (one still in Houston and one in LA) and see if they can at least point you in the right direction. |

I put an email in to Charles, my cousin that lives in Houston. He is a minister now and travels a lot. So I may not hear from him for another week or so. I don't know how to get in touch with Jeff. The number I had for him isn't working now. It's been about 4 or 5 years since I spoke to him. I'll stay on it though. |
