Looking to buy a car. Advice needed.

I was looking to buy a car (my first one at that) and could really use some advice and tips on what is the most effective way to look around and get one.
The cars I am currently looking at are the Toyota Camry, Nissan Altima and the Honda Accord. These are the 3 that I have driven before and like but if someone can suggest other cars within this price range that give you a better bang for your buck, let me know.
I needed suggestions about good dealerships that I can look at that near the Pasadena area (although I can drive the extra distance if its worth the trouble) that sell these vehicles and are negotiable in terms of price and warranty. Also is leasing a better option or financing?
One stumbling block that I might face in getting a good interest rate would be that I only got a credit card 4 months ago after starting work so I assume I do not have much of a history. I have always paid of my bills in full and on time which include renting a car for 700$ a month since I started working. Not sure how much that will help but I really want my first car to be a decent one but I really don’t want to pay a sky high interest rate.
Other than that, any good negotiation tips when dealing with a car salesman would definitely help. Thanks. |

Performance Nissan off the 210 frwy. I got a 2000 Maxima and a 2002 Altima SE (new of course) from there. Most of my cars have been Nissans. Go on-line and go to http://autos.msn.com/default.aspx or some other one like Yahoo and enter what you're looking for. You can even do comparisons between those 3 makes that you chose.
Dealers will contact you and try giving you the better deal. Try it and see how it goes. Oh and always remember to take your time! |

I'd sugest the camry hands down. I dont trust Nissan as much as Toyota or Honda. My family has always had Toyotas or Hondas and the one time they tried something else it didnt go so well.
edit: of course everyone I know with a nissan likes theirs so \:)/ |
