New order is my favourite as well. Sometimes I prefer Joy Division, but they arent really 80s.

for me def. Depeche Mode... theyve been putting out quality after quality ever since Vincet Clarke left the group and Martin Gore took over the song writing duties... best to ever happened to them. plus i had some doubts after Alan Wilder [Keyboardist, Musical direction] quit after Songs of Faith & Devotion album but theyve put out 3 albums after that and theyre all money. their latest, Playing The Angel was just an absolute instant classic.

My parents grew up with the 80's music so I was always hearing it when i was younger. I liked a lot of electronica from the 80's including New Order, Erasure and The Eurythmics and OMD.

I also liked other bands like The Jam who were more 70's drifting into the 80's.

I missed the 1980s. Come to think of it, music-wise I missed most of the 1990s as well. What an ignorant bastard.

Where i stayed, people didn't find it fashionable to like the Pet Shop Boys back in the day. I thought they were ing great though. Some real classics.
