Do I make a synth sound like this??

Most of my synths either bleep like a piano or just fade away and never sound as linked as that!!

Please help! :D

I know what waveform it is I'm wanting to know how I get mine to keep going and not fade out after each note?
cybernetica
Increase the release of the note a bit, and eventually use longer notes. Maintain the sharp attack with a filter envelope with short attack and decay.
Oh, and see, this melody feels richer because its an arpeggio spanning at least 2 octaves, so it would be good to back it up with notes from an octave below.

Ah I see, so on the filter envelope it has to have a short attack and delay or on the wave envelope?
cybernetica
The filter envelope has the short attack and decay.
Make sure the filter envelope modulates the filter, otherwise it will do nothing, then choose something like attack 0%, decay 10%, sustain 30% on the filter envelope.
The amplitude envelope should have a short attack and decay as well, but a little higher sustain and something like 40% of release (depends on the synth though).

Dont forget there is delay and a long(ish) reverb on there

Ow, that hurt my ears :(

The amplitude envelope is the one for each wave form right?? (noob here)

I'm using Synth1 on Fruity Loops by the way but I have Reason also.

it hurt mine too... i felt the song was horrible, and i would rather kill my self than try to immitate anything in that song.

just not my style, and probably not his either. -hence the pain...

God forbid you ever hear anything you don't like, but must you clutter this topic with useless chatter?
