Yeah and so are the chemical brothers at every ultra music fest in miami during the conference when Im down there but do I give a ...NO
Howells playing 10 hours+ of a dig deeper marathon set on the best sound system I've ever heard at stereo in Montreal > the chemical brothers playing all of their own tracks or remixes for 1 or 2 hours...
I was talking to Ingy...anyway. A group of people from Boston are going up for Howells and Mark said he was going to be going up for that next time because Howells set back in may was unreal there...one of the best sets I've ever heard and many of the people in the Montreal forum on this board agree with me :) |

Chemical Brothers haven't played at Ultra since 2004. I was there. They also haven't been in NYC since 2005 (for Ultra NY). And they are in Europe through Dec2007. So not sure when they are coming back to the States. Just to clear it up for you.
Stereo does have the most incredible sound system. It just more of a choice between music preferences...
P.s.- This event isn't even listed on their website, but...
holy shyte they are doing a free concert in Trafalgar Square in London on 9/09/07. Perhaps a weekend warrior trip is due. |

It's all a matter of opinion; everybody has one. I for one wouldn't even go anywhere in NYC for Howells, he never got my attention. Maybe every time I heard him he had a bad day.
I don't go to WMC, it's changed so much from what it used to be, I wouldn't even waste my money. I'd rather go to Burning Man or DEMF, or even Sonar.
Ultra NY is the worst event that has been held in the last years.
With that said, Chemical Brothers seem to me like a fine choice.
Tickets go on sale in an hour.

Agreed... Especially Ultra-NY. Dear lord can you say -show. Way to cut short RITM! And Ultra Miami is officially on my list after the debacle this year. WMC itself is still fun, Ultra is ::shrug:: take it or leave it. Burning Man is insane.
Total matter of preference. It would be nice to hear Danny drop a marathon set of yumminess, but having the brothers kick the old classics with a good system is very tempting. I think for me at least, it depends on if i can swing a London trip.
So many events so little time (and money)! |
