Well, I guess the 1000's arnt worth the extra money seein as how they do about the same thing.. Like someone else said, use the 800 to upgrade something else... I can sell my DJM-400 and buy an 800 :P

me, this is such a frequently discussed topic I sometimes wonder if Pioneer decided to specify the 800 and 100s price and features just so that everyone would discuss it. Smart marketing ploy.

Fact: there's not one 800 owner that wouldn't prefer to have the 1000 if money were no object.

If you're asking which you should get I'm assuming you can afford the 1000. If thats the case then get it. You'll be happier in the long run. I couldn't live without the waveform display - amongst other things. I love this machine.

An interesting side note, almost every club I've been to or spun at with 1000s, they're almost always set to .05 and not .02. Maybe it's just a fluke but I'm always noticing this.

because by default, it's set to .05 and most people spin on that setting anyways

true, as I own a pair of lovely 800mk2's aswell. i'd like to point out though that your statement is like asing if you would rather a macbook or macbook pro. same thing just one with more features for a steeper price. ofcourse if money were no matter you'd go with the one with more features, but I'd reckon the 800mk2's are a better value for the price. i've also played on 1000's that were left on the .05 setting an no one really seems to care lol.

personally i'd stick to the 1000 mk2 not the mk3. the new ones have had some issues. the 800's are good too but i don't like the .05 resolution.

I appreciate all the response.. I know this is a much talked about issue but its really hard to make a decision.. to the person that made the mac book comment, i got the pro lol...

Well, I'm going out tonight to talk to a couple of people about playing at their bars, if I land these, I'll be stoked!

Progress Ent.
If you are making money off your gigs, I would buy the 1000's and chalk it up as a business expense. You will be much happier in the long run. The added features do make them nicer than the 800's.....

what issues? Haven't had any problems with my MK3's so far- although they haven't been heavily used to date.
