Sarah's (Lebanese)
Brunswick & Bloor, west of Brunswick on the south side. Right beside Future's Bakery.
Best Shawarma & Falafel in the city. Get the combination Shawarma & Falafel sandwich.
This is my favourite take-out place in the city. I used to eat here almost every day when I went to U of T downtown. |
I keep meaning to go there. Maybe this weekend. |

| Just a recommendation for people naming restaurants and prices...also list the type of food they sell and perhaps what you had. That way people will get a better idea of if they'd like to try it. |

A little expensive, but honestly the best steak I have ever had.
16 oz. Bone In Filet Mignon, medium rare - perfect
Another great old style steak place is Barbarians on Elm Street.
Cheap chineese food, but really good.
Szechwan Chung King Restaurant 428 Spadina, 416-593-0101
Do not go there for the atmosphere and get use to the smell of moth balls in the washroom.
Another great cheap meal is Messini on the Danforth for authenic gyros
http://www.messini.ca/home.php
There is also a great dive on Gerrard for Pho which is really cheap (meal for 2 with drinks $20). Not sure of the name (starts with an X), but it is on the south side just east of Broadview and has a train in the name or outline on the window. |
