Odyssey vs Road Ready

Time for some road cases to protect my gear :)

I'm wondering which brand is better between Road Ready and Odyssey. I can get the Odyssey much cheaper, by ordering from US (I'm in Canada), even with the customs fees. When I mean "much cheaper", I mean near 100CDN less.

Which brand is better ? I'm ordering 3 road cases. 1 for my Xone:92 (which is a 12" right?) and 2 for each CDJ800MK2.

Thanks ;)

I recommend road ready. Always pleased with their cases and my road coffin gets no complaints from me. Odyssey is by no means a bad brand but is recognized as the lesser of the two by a lot of folks (including myself).
i got big pants
can't remember if it was road ready or another company that starts with an "R", but when i used to work at guitar center, they told me that essentially road ready outsources their production and that odyssey does make some of their cases

dont quote me on this however

They're both good stuff, but waaaaaaaaaaaaay overpriced. A hundred bucks for a box?!?

...I guess when not many people make them though, they can get away with charging prices like that. I have 2 Road Ready's for my TT's, 2 for my CDJ's, and 1 for my mixer -- that's easily $500 down the drain....but it does keep the gear safe.

of the 2 i'd go for the road ready cases for your gear

it's all i've used but there's probably a reason for that

i bought an odyssey case for my cdj and its alright....but you can clearly see how its much more cheaply made than a road ready case, which i have for my turntables. The road ready doesn't have any gaps and the material feels a lot better. If money is an issue, get the odysseys because they still work well but if you don't care for money then get road ready's.

Money isn't a problem really...

So I guess I'll go for the RoadReady then :) More expensive, but better quality from what I hear :)

Any other comments before I buy ?? I'm planning to purchase from axemusic.com, a Canadian website that people recommended me...and shipping is free :)

Road Ready is good, I used to be the Canadian distributor ;) Very solid stuff for a good price. And AXE is a great place!

What about Gator cases? I have a nice soft case from them that takes good care of my CDJ 200s.

road ready, you spend that much on gear, protect it
