some LOVEFEST afterparty concerns...

attention: could be a bias opinion because i love CL and j00f

hmmm is it just me... or do anyone else think that they messed up the order of apperances of talents in the last LoveFest and Popsicle...?

example:

Deep Voices in the middle of CL and Infected Mushroom, lost a lot of energy there... not that they're not good.. but i mean... the energy is gone transfered into thin air...

and also.. too many dj's booked in the mainroom so they only get 1 hour 15 minutes sets each...

well, i'll be honest... here's my real concern... i LOVE J00f!!! and i dont want him to get the shaft because he's a "psy" (such a badword in today's trance scene) DJ.... he's not all that psy, he just have good progression and play groovy songs... i dont want him to get put on at 10 pm cause he's not that famous or watever... feel me on this... i think the sets should be progressed by the energy level toward the nite...

example: having Infected Mushroom closed popsicle was great... cause they were the hardest stuff in the festival, and they close! good job!

suggestion to taj and 1015:
if j00f indeed get the shaft... is it possible to book him at 1015 for afterAfterParty???? hahaha... i would ditch love fest and i will handcuffs all the other TA's to my hand so they will all go... lol

This is something that not too many people are aware of and this usually applies to most if not all massives by this point. Well it applies to all kinds of events, but it affects massives more since they usually have more headliners sharing the night. I see it happening a lot at the LA massives.

Things are so political in DJ bookings now, it's to the point where the promoter or organizer doesn't exactly have 100% overall say in what order he or she wants the lineup, because in the request or contract the agent will pretty much make it mandatory for their DJ to play a specific timeslot before or after a specific DJ since they're aware of the rest of the lineup.

things are ridiculously political! as a promoter and manager, it drives me crazy on both ends, it is really rather disheartening:(
