[Audio processing] Sub Bass Clearity & volume issue

Hey everyone, it has been a while. Quick question on possible techiques to resolve this SUB BASS Issue I have. The problem is that the volume seems to be significantly higher on some notes than others. Please I already know why the percieved volume gets lower, I am mainly looking for tips to fix it. When Creating a sub bass I use usually one to two osc.(sine, Triangle or Square) with the VA mimicking turned low or completly off, LPF then I usually throw a second LP in the form of a EQ plugin just to filter off any more HF noise that may be present. To give some extra sub presence I recently started either throwing an RBass from waves or vintage warmer from PSP and even experimenting them together to get the very clean sub sound im looking for.

I am not going to lie, my experiance with compressors are limited and im not very comfortable with using them to solve problems like these. So how would I fix the volume diffrentiation in the SUB bass to make it more uniform?

It's probably just going outside the sweet spot of your woofer / subwoofer.. I'd be careful when changing the volume of this bass. Need to think about if it's really a problem with your mix or if it's a "problem" with your listening environment.

you need to understand frequency dynamics. wave forms, especially sine waves have different overtone responses per key/octave etc.

also your low pass filter on your subbass is fine but you need to get rid of the highs more importantly, so roll those off for each individual wave.

sine wave - roll off at like 200hz
square wave - roll off at like 350hz

just numbers, play around to fit in the track. RBass is a GREAT PLUG, i use it a lot but where you put it in relationship to the effects chain is really important.

some tracks i put it before the EQ since it will create muddy-ness and i need the eq to clean it up or sometimes after the EQ because the EQ will roll off too much of that "low-end punch"

you're using the right tools and whether that's foolsmate or not, it's simply the settings you need to tweak

Thats really good advice, actually it fixed the clearity issue and messing with the compressor settings it sounds extreamly close to what im looking for.

Another Exellent tip..actually I hadn't even considered it. Is there a way to achieve a uniform volume w/ a compressor?
