| For some reason, whenever I click on direct mp3 files on the internet, it opens in a new internet window and plays with quicktime. I don't know why it's like this, but how do I get it so that the mp3 files open with windows media player? |

Hmm, I already have mp3 box checked.
I don't really know where this thread should've been placed. I just assumed this was the best forum because it's about computer things. |

| Uninstall QT - that thing is absolutely useless and screws everything up. |

the mp3 box should not be checked if you don't want firefox (or whatever you have) to open it in the browser.
if you use firefox, get the latest version though. it has great file handling features. you can choose in which program it opens the files, or that it just downloads them into your hd.
i've actually grown to love the quicktime plugin. makes it so easy to quickly listen to clips. and when you want to download them, you can either rightclick and save as, or in the quicktime window take file>save page as..
and the quicktime program doesn't bother me either. as a pc user i don't know much other programs that can play "apple formats" such as mov and mp4 |
