Its with many genres of music!
Not just that but also concerts- rock/metal, etc.
Sometimes YES we do get quality d.js & its good we've gotten those tech/minimal d.js yes Dean (cant believe you missed out on Mills & Huntemann WTF!) but its not on a regular basis like that overseas, or with a few or more top d.js on one bill playing at same party.
We only get that once in a while here.
And how long do we have to wait to see these d.js in Melb- even if they are so popular can be years before they come here!
Also there are soooooooooooo many more dj's & acts that could be brought to OZ but aren't! |

Everyone "could" be brought anywhere, it's a matter of whether they are popular enough here.
We have an international touring every other week, i don't see how you can say things are not on a regular basis. What do you deem regular? I think you're stating the obvious if you're expecting the same acts to come back every few months as that's not realistically ever going to happen. |

Danny Tenaglia is one of the World's most popular & respected d.js, yet not POPULAR enough here for say Mark James to bring him down, Why? Because famous kids will cry because he doesnt play electro!

So many good d.js that are popular overseas but are not that popular here (or have yet to be given a chance to GET POPULAR here) only a minority-hence the comment why we are so behind! if that makes sense lol.

Not correct at all Missy.
Danny has stated on numerous occasions that these days he'd prefer to play close to home than travel - it doesn't interest him anymore (ie. He couldn't care less if he plays in Australia or not). He was actually booked for NYD two years ago i believe until a promoter in the northern hemisphere offered another $40K or something ridiculous.
Some things are not as they seem ;) |

Danny KEEPS playing in Asia, as with many other good dj.s that do not play in OZ, surely a promoter couldve secured him when he played or comes to play in Asia.
If theres a will theres a way.

If DT played Melbourne it would be one of the biggest gigs in a very long time, an absolute no-brainer financially - it's got nothing to do with Melbourne/Australian promoters not wanting to book him. |
